Today’s survival with definitely be chemically enhanced.. Mucho Caffeine in my system unfortunately and of course I used the last of the Coffee yesterday night. I think Alex Gonzales is partly responsible for this one as the guy works pretty much as hard as I do so if I see him up then dammit I’m staying up working! Can’t be outdone now can I?

So the Health insurance nurse was here at 7:30 to take urine samples to make sure that I am not a raging alcoholic or crack fiend as we applied for the uber low premiums because of our insane healthiness and they need to take blood and urine samples in that case before you are given them.. Good stuff.

Recording a new article on Industrybroadcast.com about optimizing the art pipeline and the more of these articles I read the more I realize I have to learn if I want to run a bloody game studio. Shit making a game has got to be one of the most complicated processes out there and just to think there is some guy at the top that understands how each step works along the way amazes me. I am counting my lucky stars that we will be working on a much simpler flash based childrens game first and then going for gusto with Paradise Lost as we will have a ton of learning to do and doing that learning on the kids game will be much easier than on PL.

Now I believe it is time to meditate for 30 minutes, gain some energy and power and then go out and buy another tub of Coffee. After I am properly caffeinated I have a nice large Proposal document to work my ass off on. I finished the concept document for the children’s title last night and I am fairly proud of it so I have high hopes for the proposal document.

I also have high hopes for the artist meeting today. We have a meeting of minds between myself, Alex Gonzales, Roland Brown, Timo Karhula and Paul Scott Canavan. All some of the greatest artists I have had the pleasure of working with and all coming together as a dream team of sorts to pump out this presentation package for friday! We are going to be hasing out ideas, comparing the concept art work that was put out over the last day and a half and then finalize a final art look and feel for the project. Should be exciting!

I love my new Mantra. Apply it to anything you want to accomplish and just repeat it over and over and over again..

Lets see, where to start. Well as always the day began with laughter thanks to Mr. Jon Stewart. Watch last nights episode if you have a chance as it is hilaaarious and it is always good to start the day off with laughter.. Up late last night with Mikeeeeee down under fixing up my server, installed a global IP ban list and that has dropped Chinese traffic by a huge amount. Up and Adam today bright and early and ready to kick ass.. Just finished another 30 minute meditation with Holosync and made it through awake which is surprising with the 3.5 hours of sleep I got. Going to be recording another IndustryBroadcast article, and gearing more towards the management side as I feel I can always learn more about that aspect especially with the upcoming potential for a new and exciting development with Netflow Developments.. New and exciting you ask? Oh yes, new and Exciting. Can I say anything about it? No, but it is new and exciting and has lit yet another fire under my feet to motivate me to cut out that much more sleep

So Recording Article or two, taking care of emails, emailing level designers as well as our writers to see where they are at and get some updates, going over the message boards with a fine tooth comb to make sure I have replied to everything and people are on task, probalby a good idea to go through DotProject and send out reminder emails to all overdue tasks. An email needs to go out re: The Meeting of Minds tomorrow as I need to assign homework to everyone involved. Quick break for lunch perhaps and then I delve into writting and article about the current state of kids entertainment and a profitability analysis and comparison of products such as webkinz, club penguin, runescape, etc etc. I would like to spend some time recruiting more concept artists as I will be taking some off PL part time for a new and exciting project, and then promotion for fulloutsourcing.net. After that well then the day is mine, perhaps setting up Jesse’s blog properly and writting a tutorial for Jesse and Rael on how to use their new wordpress blogs.

I am grateful for my energy, I am grateful for rael, I am grateful for Mike E, I am grateful for Nels, I am grateful for my productivity, I am grateful for Art, I am grateful for Dhruv, I am grateful for Sapta, I am grateful for coffee, I am grateful for my focus, I am grateful for my will, I am grateful for Badu, I am grateful for my artists, I am grateful for my creativity, I am grateful for my organisation, I am grateful for my passion.

Oh well at least it happens now while we are only getting 200 hits a day rather than when we are pulling in 2000 hits a day

I mean I definitely think that I retain the info better because I am reading outloud, and due to the fact that I need to re-read the entire thing twice on average to get it right I would definitely say it sticks with me.. I just wish I could retain it word for word because the insight I am gaining from these great minds of our industry is impressive

I was getting worried today as Bruno Urbain only has 2 articles currently online(although he has some wicked ones in the works) but an email from Jonas Smith tipped the scales for me.. He has his Ph.D in Video Games and his articles are absolutely humoungous. I am going to probably be looking at an hour read per article which means I’ll probably break it up into 2 pieces per article maybe even 3 with some of these.. And boy are they indepth. A little more dry and technical than the others but I think there is some incredible learning from this man, as well as from the other amazing minds contributing to industrybroadcast.com .. I definitely feel like I have something of great value here to offer the games industry!
