Ok, so I know that if you are anything like me that you know all about cygwin and rsync but you’re thinking to yourself that it’s kind of overkill to install cygwin in it’s entirety just to be able to use rSync. Surely there are windows based applications out there that can do the job

Well this article started off a lot shorter and simpler than where it ended up and that’s because over the course of this week I’ve discovered some limitations with the first and simpler method I was advocating. This is more of a reminder to myself than anything.. But if you have a calendar plugin installed on wordpress that is syncing to a google calendar and the time of the events on your wordpress blog are completely different times than on your google calendar then you need to change the timezone in wordpress

Alright, I’ve gone over wp-super-cache, i’ve gone over all sorts of things but today I learned a shocking little secret about wordpress. Every single time a user hits your blog wordpress runs wp-cron.php, brilliant isn’t it? Why the hell would wordpress run a file like WP-CRON for every visitor? Shouldn’t the name of the

Wow, that’s a mouthful of adjectives to describe the location of the problem.. Let me explain. I just finished setting up a multi-site wordpress install for the first time(which means, combined with my drupal sites, that I’m finally a man) and a little problem arose where all of the links to the posts on the

So you’ve just installed or upgraded to WordPress Multisite and upon checking out your first network site you are greeted with a page full of broken images. Wondering why? Well if you are using Nginx and apache chances are you’ll need to tell nginx to stop running on that domain, or at leaset tone it

Well I just purchased a year subscription to Elegant Themes and I had to write a little blurb about how bloody impressed I am. As much as this would sound like a simple advert for these guys it’s not. It’s me looking at the 73 themes I just bought for $39.99. That’s just over $0.50
