Web filtering / protection using a repeater bridge

If you are connecting machines into a repeater via cat5 the sad truth is that Content restriction settings on the repeater don’t work and in rare cases you might not have or want to turn on content restrictions on the main network that your repeater is hooked into(ie: you’re sharing a connection with your neighbours).  So what’s the best way to get a similarly high level of protection?  Introduce the Open DNS family shield: https://store.opendns.com/familyshield/ .  This will work on PC’s as well as mobile devices.

Simple set your DNS to the two provided by Family Shield and make sure that non-administrators cannot modify the network settings and you also have to make sure that they cannot connect through a VPN or use a tool like Hotspot Shield as that will circumvent the project.
