Want to pin windows on top just like in linux but in windows? Here’s howMar 9th, 2014 | By admin | Category: Windows
One of the biggest things I miss about linux is the ability to pin a window so that no matter what you are doing it will always be on top of everything else. In linux it was built in as that OS actually cares about making the UX as efficient as possible but in windows it doesn’t exist. I did a little googling today to find an answer to this questions and stumbled upon http://www.xtrabuttons.com which, after a few minutes of testing definitely enables this functionality, and then some. It’s memory footprint isn’t terribly at 14MB or so and it places a series of small configurable buttons in your window head that allow for quick pinning and other things.
So far seems to be working well, no issues, so here’s to hoping I have yet another piece of linux functionality in windows.
