Wow, I think this is the first time I have ever appreciated daylight savings time.. So my better half got off work and after our errands we fell asleep in each others around 8pm.. Sometimes you just can’t help yourself when someone snuggles as good as she goes.. Well we got up around midnight as we had some last minute things to do before our massive ikea trip tomorrow and then she went back to sleep but I stayed up to work.. I figured that why am I gong to sleep for a whole of 4 hours when I coudl just work and sleep in the 4 hour car ride? Either way my 4 hours just turned into 5 hours as all of the clocks changed so yay for me!
Industrybroadcast.com is doing really well, we have enough content up that I felt comfortable to launch it to the public. A note to the wise, don’t launch sites on a friday or a saturday.. While in my world that makes the most sense because everyone is off work and at home on the net in reality it means that most editors and site maintainers are off work and not doing anything with their blogs or their news listings until monday.. Oh well, at least it’ll be at the top of the heap come monday morning..
either way we are getting some pretty great respones to it so far with 240 unique visitors hitting the site yesterday and by the way the stats are shaping up as of 4am we should hit 300 unique visitors today. If my experience in gorilla marketing with games is similar here I am hoping to have that number around 3000-5000 a day by the end of the month and peak it around 10 000 a day before the year is over.. Ohhh I am just imagining the work involved to keep that many people satisfied day in day out. Ryan has a lot of recording to do and after 50 articles being online I plan on starting to do interviews which should add a little spice to the mix. Another idea I had was every morning, or perhaps around 2am PST when I go to bed doing a newsreel broadcast for people’s drive to work.. We’ll see!
Now my coffee isn’t going to drink itself so lets get back to work.. I have to prepare emails for the launch of my Outsourcing company(fulloutsourcing.net) .. Going to appeal to businesses locally first, starting with design and development firms and then go out geographically from there. Managing our guys in Calcutta is going well and for the most part our new clients are satisfied with the first week of work out of their hires. using dotproject to run them as well and it works very well once you can actually coax the employee’s to do their task logs and update their progress etc etc. So that is fairly important to get on that as it pays the bills.
After that I need to do some overall managing of the art team for The Paradise lost project, see how people are coming along and all of that.. the modelling is taking a lot longer than expected with finished character models taking over a month to complete.. But they are volunteers doing it in their spare time so I can’t be too demanding.. Just means I need more 3D modellers that’s all
Anyways, off I go!
